UPDATE: Went again a week ago and updating my review. Food was amazing and maybe new management then the grand opening has really started to organize the store. Will for sure be coming more often. Normally go to Denver but was happy to see them in town. First visit not very happy but I will give them a go again in a few weeks after grand opening. Food was very dry and sadly made wrong. I asked for jalapenos and no chipotle but it was opposite. I think that’s what made it taste bad to me at least. Left the other half as I couldn’t enjoy it anymore. Employees were playing around and exchanging money with gloves on which defeats the point of wearing gloves in the kitchen. Only the cashier was friendly the rest were more busy messing around. Hopefully the next visit is better if not I guess I will only be going to the ones in Denver.

My husband and I wanted to try this place because we’ve seen it before in passing and I’m glad we did. The food was delicious and phenomenal. Everything was fresh and made well. We got the carne asada and the Al pastor tacos, and 2 tortas. We definitely we’ll be eating from here again, I wish I took pictures, I normally do but it was so good I forgot.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Las Tortugas in Colorado Springs, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chicken Quesadilla. It was one of the best I’ve ever had—the cheese was perfectly melted, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors that left me wanting more. My companions enjoyed the Street Tacos, which were packed with all the right ingredients. The green salsa that accompanied the tacos was a standout, adding a burst of freshness and spice that elevated the dish. I also tried the Torta, which was very good. While I felt it could have used a bit more meat, the overall taste was wonderful. The balance of flavors was just right, making it a satisfying and delicious choice. Overall, Las Tortugas offers an amazing culinary experience with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Colorado Springs area looking for authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine.

Las tortugas is very clean when you walk in, they have a small arcade which gives some nostalgia. The food is really good, is very well portion where the flavors are not overpowering each other. I would recommend the tejana torta it’s delicious and I’ll definitely be back!

We are visiting from Texas and this place is the best torta place I have tasted in a long time. Their bread is fresh and the aguas are delicious .... Totally recommend this place!

Clean and spacious atmosphere. A couple arcade games to play and a change machine. Service was fast and efficient. Everyone was very friendly! Food was excellent. Got a bacon breakfast burrito with green chile and the guera torta. Both were packed with flavor and huge portions! The torta has plenty of avocado and chicken on it. Bread was light and fluffy. Absolutely wonderful!

Their food is absolutely amazing!!! The tortilla on the chicken quesadilla is fresh and crispy; the best I’ve ever had! This is my new go to for lunch! And the salsa verde is truly a masterpiece. It’s the perfect amount of spice for those who are sensitive to spicy!!! They even have deals throughout the week. Absolutely recommend!
